Joe Natole for Sunshine Coast - The Pitch

I have a plan to take us into the future, while maintaining the unique character of each of our communities. The things that make our towns and localities so special, must be preserved forever.

I have a plan for managing growth - keeping it to the areas already identified for growth along transport corridors. That will protect our rural areas.

The Sunshine Coast must be an affordable place to live. Our children must be able to afford to buy their homes, and our older generations also need to be able to afford to grow old here.

Economic security is important to everyone.  I want a Sunshine Coast that is thriving and clever.  I have a plan to foster businesses of the future, so that our children can have jobs here when they grow up.  We shouldn’t be exporting our children and their expertise.

I have proven strong financial leadership in council. I’ve turned Maroochy’s debt around and delivered record infrastructure.

We’ve had the lowest rates increases on the Sunshine Coast every year for four years.

My business background means I think laterally, and can find solutions that are innovative and new. We need fresh, dynamic ideas

And through it all, we must maintain a healthy environment. That’s important to me. Our economy and environment must go hand in hand.

I am a family man with a strong commitment to making our Sunshine Coast the most liveable place in Australia. I want it for my family and for yours.

I will keep the Sunshine Coast the unique place that we all love.

I will be a mayor for the whole Sunshine Coast because that is what this community deserves.

I’m Joe Natoli.

I am 48 years old.  I live in Mountain Creek with my wife, Rosanna, and our three children: Ruby,6, Mia 3, and Roman 11 months.

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 38 years – 19 in Caloundra and 19 in Maroochy.

It’s a fantastic place to live and bring up children. They deserve a future here too.
