Andrew Champion - The pitch

Andrew Champion is a candidate for Division 4 in the Sunshine Coast. Here's his background.  

Andrew is 47 and  married with two teenage children.

Work background – Army (RMC Duntroon) 1978 – 79, resigned to establish a family building consultancy on the Sunshine Coast for 6 years.  Andrew joined the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club and did his bronze in 1979. In 1994 he started and operated one of Queensland’s largest caravan hire businesses for 7 years, caravan park owner for 5 years, member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia and Caloundra City Councillor 1985 – 94 and 1997- 2004.

I have a plan to take us into the future, while maintaining the unique character of each of our communities. The things that make our towns and localities so special, must be preserved forever.

I have a plan for managing growth - keeping it to the areas already identified for growth along transport corridors. That will protect our rural areas.
