Mike from Cairnsblog laments the reluctance of the local paper to take the council to task... 

A few weeks ago, I bought to attention the substantial list of donations to Kevin Byrne's Unity party in 2004.

Then I came across these press clippings (below) from the Cairns Sun in 2000. These are interesting, given the current debate about political donations and affiliations, in light of the Mayor steadfastly refusing to declare if his interest recorded, are correct.

Richard Koerner, treasurer of the Coolum Residents association, writes in with a few rebuttals of former Maroochy Mayor Joe Natoli's election advertising.

There is a particularly misleading brochure put out by Joe Natoli former Mayor of Maroochy talking up the financial performance of the Sunshine Coast airport and presenting misleading statistics on rates.

I think you need to look again at your expected outcome for Mount Isa. There will be change here as spending on the Buchanan Park project and miss handeling of funds are big news here. Also a lack of infrustructure such as limited water supplies to outer areas are counting against the 16 years of Progressive (labour) rule.
