“My name is russell felton i am running in the upcoming
election i just wanted to tell some of your readers a little about my
self.
i ran my own business in hervey bay for many years .i
am 45 married have three daughters , when devolopers are building new
housing estates i will push for them to build playgrounds not just
leave parkland we have a lot of young families moving to the region,in
hervey bay we need to build the water park a.s.a.p and maryborough
maybe run concerts and entertainment in the brolga theatre and other
events for our teenage children.

Mike from Cairnsblog attended a mayoral forum last night.
Nearly 100 residents crammed into the small under-funded Wattle
Street community hall last evening in the beachside suburb of Yorkeys
Knob.
It was an opportunity to see and hear their local Division 8 candidates along with those vying for the mayoralty.

Greg Rowell has launched a 7 point plan to tackle graffiti in Brisbane
which includes new Clean Up Crews, a dedicated 24 hour graffiti hotline
and a boost to Council’s free graffiti removal kits.
“Graffiti
is a costly, unsightly mess that troubles both residents and small
business,” Labor’s Lord Mayoral Candidate Greg Rowell said.
“There are 40,000 graffiti reports to Council each year.

Sign Greg Rowell's petition to help save the Regent Theatre, which is earmarked for demolition.
Even
the developer’s own heritage report says “The Regent Theatre has
historical importance for its continued use as a theatre and cinema,
and the demolition of the cinema box will diminish this significance”.
The report also warns “the demolition of the cinema box will result in
vibration and has potential to physically damage historic fabric”.
Help save the Regent Theatre by signing my petition.
